If you didn’t know it was coming you could have probably guessed. I’m not going to be blogging here or anywhere for a while. I don’t really have a reason other than I’ve got too much going on to do it right. Between writing, exploring my new city, and apartment stuff I don’t have the time to do it justice. I doubt I’ll pick this blog back up but when I do start another one I’ll let everyone know where.

This was a really fun book. I tore through it in one day. The reviews are right. You should read this. I also like the way the story is told, it’s sort of a different set up for a fantasy novel, which I like.
Now, something I wasn’t expecting to like. The second book.
It was equally awesome even though the main characters were different. Still set in the same world, but I have to admit I normally I hate follow up …

Well, more like fixed.
7 cans of spray paint, fabric, a lot of staples, and a little bit of time; creates an awesome table set.
I wish I could say it’s perfect but I accidently upholstered two of the seats sideways…
And I’m ok with that.
You can’t tell and, I’m really not all that OCD.
Next up, factory cart coffee table.

Not sure how or why but all of the spam in the universe seems to be getting through the filter on this site. I launched a counter attack at 0900 hours, but it hasn’t had much of an effect. I’d hate to make people do the “are you a person text” but there’s almost 1,000 evil comments in the moderation queue.
They’re getting good too. No mention of viagra or FDA unapproved drugs. Why do people bother making spambots? They don’t …

The idea of being a character in a book is the adult equivalent of getting Star of the Week. It doesn’t really matter, but it makes you ridiculously happy.
Technically, I may have already been in one of his short stories. My first name isn’t too common and I comment on the thread enough. It’s definitely more likely that I’m just crazy and self-absorbed, but we’re all allowed to indulge in such thoughts so no judging.

My dreams of world domination via writing group have sadly come to an end. I had planned to keep the group going from Detroit but that’s not going to happen. I just don’t have the time.
But it’s not all bad news. The group is still going strong (under new leadership). It will eventually undergo a transformation and name change, which makes me happy; whatever keeps it going. They’re going to open the group up to include other types of writing, …

In three weeks things will be back to normal on the blog.
I can’t pretend to be on top of it anymore (not that I was fooling anyone). I own a bed and some pots and pans, that’s it. It’s not an excuse, it just means I need to take care of some things.
I’ll do a big post on Sunday about what’s been going on lately, and then hopefully it’ll be back to writing.

This is a good holiday, one I usually don’t miss out on. But I decided not to go home this year. The trip would have been a bit much with everything that’s been going on. I will miss getting to see my family, and the mountain of fine southern food I won’t be eating, but I’m glad I’m still in bed.

You’ve probably noticed that I haven’t blogged about writing for a while now. It’s because I haven’t done any writing outside of what I do for work for in weeks. I know it’s terrible, but I don’t even watch TV anymore.

Remember when I promised I’d be get back to posting regularly in a week… Yeah, that didn’t happen. Being semi-homeless is a lot more work than I thought it would be. I’m hoping that after I find a place and move into it things will settle down. But instead of waiting for things to settle down I now have a plan!
We’ll see if this works better than my last plan.

I’ve just picked up “The Passage” by Justin Cronin. So far it’s pretty awesome. Can’t tell you too much else about it, other than it’s good, since I’m only about 20 pages in. I’ll do a full review at the end.

Uuuuuuumm…. my tummy feels nice.
If you spot this truck around Seattle it’s worth the wait in line. Working on radio today, and maybe I’m just a little piggy, but I think the best part of all this recording stuff is the food.
The second best part: People bring the food to you.
I’m definitely going to need a run tonight.

Yesterday I made it out to where my mom grew-up, and where I used to spend my summers as a kid. I haven’t been out to St. Louis in a long time, but technically nothing ever changes, so the only things I’ve missed are the clean air and the gossip.
It was nice walking around, seeing horses and the stars, smelling Virginia in the fall (yes, Virginia has a different scent for every season).
